Work is going really well. Since a lot of this week and last was taken up with the lawyer I had to hire to help me sort out the movers, and then of course settlement on the house and working with the contractor, I was really pleased to get an extension on a deadline for a Statesman story. The best part is I only have to do most of this house stuff once, and I can stay here in East Austin for a week while most of the really invasive work is being completed.
Tomorrow the movers come. I hope this is the last I have to deal with them, barring me filing a complaint with the DOT and federal motor carrier safety commission.
And, over at the theater, I got a little raise and there was some talk of a promotion. I'm up for it. I just want to get through tomorrow, then begin unpacking, then do house stuff all weekend.
